Registration of Titles Act (Cap. 240)
ULIIGoverned by the Registration of Titles Act (Cap. 240). Title passes on registration (s.54); certificate of title is conclusive (s.59); caveats protect unregistered interests (s.124).
Land Act (Cap. 236)
ULIILand Act (Cap. 236) governs all land tenure in Uganda. Family land transactions require spousal consent (s.40). Bona fide occupants cannot be evicted without court order (s.35).
Landlord and Tenant Act, 2022 (Chapter 238)
